Rachael and Ben connected in 2017 on a caving trip in Franklin, WV with mutual friends. They began dating a few months later and have been together ever since. They moved into their first apartment together in 2021 and in 2023 they bought their first house together. Just over one year later in 2024, Ben took Rachael on a picnic at Mariner Point Park. Rachael proceeded to make what was arguably the world's messiest sandwich, before realizing that neither of them had packed napkins. It was in that perfectly dysfunctional moment that Ben decided to ask the question that would make Rachael, in all her mustard-covered glory, his person for life. Despite being together nearly 7 years, Rachael was so surprised by the proposal that she just jumped into Ben's arms without actually answering the question. Her answer was obviously "Yes!" So now, Rachael and Ben are excitedly planning the next big step in their adventure together, and they cannot wait to celebrate with all of their family and friends in October!
